Electric Ann Arbor Huron junior guard Macari Moore committed to Iowa State this week, on the heels of riding the lightning of March Madness to an appearance in the MHSAA final four for his hungry and heated Huron hoop crew. Most scouting services rank him the No. 3 prospect in the state of Michigan’s junior recruiting crop. He’s Iowa State’s first commitment for its Class of ’25 and picked the Cyclones over offers from Louisville, Central Michigan and Toledo.
Moore dotted the stat sheet for 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game, as Huron (23-5) bagged a second straight Division 1 regional title and secured a reservation for East Lansing and a trip to the state semifinals. His triple at the horn won the regional for the River Rats. Iowa State enters the 2024 NCAA Tournament a No. 2 seed under third-year head coach T.J. Otzelberger.
