Black Is The New Orange – Brighton’s Jaden Rogers Chooses Army For College Football Plans

He’s pointed West.

To West Point to be exact.

I guess you could say Black is the New Orange in the Rogers’ household these days.

Brighton junior defensive lineman Jaden Rogers(6-5, 255) committed to play his college football at Armyover the weekend, delivering the Black Knights one of Metro Detroit’s grittiest, most fundamentally-sound rung pluggers patrolling the trenches.

Army and Air Force both put offers on the table earlier this month. Eastern Michigan and Toledo were also in pursuit for his services at the next level and he visited both campuses.

Rogers collected 66 tackles and 6 sacks in a 2023 campaign where his Brighton Bulldogs finished 5-5. The Bulldogs went 8-2 in his sophomore season in which he posted 45 tackles and 3 sacks.

The Army Black Knights recorded a 6-6 mark on the gridiron last fall under tenth-year head coach Jeff Monken, who has led the program to five bowl game appearances and a pair of double-digit win seasons (2017, 2018).
