Bloomfield Hills, Mich., June 25, 2025 – Anna Carlson of Bloomfield Hills High School has been named the 2025 Michigan High School Softball Player of the Year. Turnin2 is the sponsor of the State Champs! Sports Network’s annual award.
Carlson received the award on June 15. She led in many key Michigan high school softball statistical categories:
- She topped the charts in batting average, home runs, home runs per at-bat, OPS, on-base percentage, walks and hit-by-pitches, runs scored (scoring in 74 percent of her at-bats), and intentional walks.
- She finished second in RBIs, achieving an RBI in 85 percent of her at-bats.
Carlson’s remarkable achievements have set her apart as the premier player in Michigan high school softball this year, according to the award selection committee.
“Anna had one of the most outstanding offensive seasons we’ve seen in recent years, leading in nearly every major offensive category with an impressive OPS of 2.210,” said McKenzie Long, director of player development and training, Turnin2. “What truly sets Anna apart is her exceptional work ethic and her ability to elevate those around her. She earned every bit of her success through her effort and on the field performance from the first game to the last. I look forward to seeing the impact she will make at the University of Maine and have no doubt she has left a lasting legacy on the sport here in Michigan.”
