The 2023-24 Michigan High School Wall Award (Goalie of the Year) process:
To vote, you will need to provide your EMAIL ADDRESS. Select the candidate that you believe is having the best year in High School Hockey and cast your vote!! Your email address will need to be VERIFIED. If you want to vote more than once, please refresh your browser. Enter in your EMAIL ADDRESS again to cast another vote! Voting is limited to 100 votes every 7 days. Please allow up to an hour for your vote to be tallied into the poll’s vote count total. THE ONLINE VOTE WINNER IS AUTOMATICALLY IN THE FINAL 4 AND ACCOUNTS FOR 20% OF THE CRITERIA THAT WILL HELP DETERMINE THE 4 SEMI-FINALISTS!
By voting in the contest, you agree to allow State Champs! Network and its affiliates to update you via email about news, sports events and special offers.
The criteria that will be used to select the Hockey Wall Award:
30% – Performance Throughout Season
20% – Level of Competition
20% – Online Vote
15% – Big Game Performance
10% – Team Success
5% – Highly Recruited Prospect.
Throughout the season, we will be updating player statistics and adding new candidates into the contest as their actual play and performance merits, with a goal of keeping the ten best players on the board. In mid-November we will close online voting and select our final four candidates. The final award selection and presentation will take place in December with all of our friends at Warrior Hockey!

Gavin has been outstanding this whole season he is the backbone of our team. He comes to the rink every day with a good attitude and his teammates love him. Class of 2024: 4th year on varsity. Evenly split time with Jason Slicker who graduated last year. Slicker was on the wall all of last year and Baker's goals against was slightly higher. He worked over the summer with Randy Wilson. Randy is a long-time goalie coach at various levels and coached many goalies including Hellabuyck. Great student with over a 4-point cumulative GPA, class president each of his hs years. Baker takes up a lot of net, is very quick and agile, and has a great glove hand. He has the ability to steal a game and his teammates play with a lot of confidence knowing he's back there. He's one of our captains, a leader, and a character guy. Class of 2024: Bryant is an exceptionally athletic goaltender. He moves with quickness and precision. He's sound, consistent, and an incredibly respected teammate. Bryant has been the Gremlin's starter for the past three seasons and his high-level play has been an often-overlooked reason for our success. - Micah Stipech, Houghton Head Coach

Class of 2025: Jack Miller is one of those players that don’t come around often. You can’t teach the work ethic or the drive that he possesses.
