First day of fall signing period for high school seniors features Winston of U-D signing with Michigan State

Basketball and baseball players across the state of Michigan signed National Letters-of-Intent with colleges and universities on Wednesday, the first day of the fall signing period.

There were 16 boys basketball players that signed with Division I schools, headlined by Mr. Basketball frontrunner, Cassius Winston of U-D Jesuit, who signed with Michigan State.

Onsted center Austin Davis signed with Michigan.

More than doubling up their counterparts on the hardwood, there were 40 baseball players who signed with Division I schools, 10 of which with Big Ten schools.

Haslett lefty Luke Sleeper signed with Stanford and Orchard Lake St. Mary’s right-hander Drake Titus has been accepted to attend Army.
