Southfield RB Matt Falcon commits to MichiganFootball  |
On Wednesday night, Southfield 4-star running back Matt Falcon gave a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan to play for the Wolverines starting in the fall of 2016.
Falcon announced his decision on his twitter account on Wednesday night.
"Extremely blessed to announce that I am committed to THE University of Michigan!!" tweeted Falcon. "#goblue #fab25 #B1G"
Falcon had hinted earlier in the day that he might be headed to Ann Arbor over social media and shortly after said to expect an announcement to come around 7:00 PM.
Falcon is the second player from the state of Michigan to commit to Michigan in the last week, joining Farmington linebacker David Reese, who flipped his commitment from Louisville to the Wolverines recently.
Considered a 4-star running back, Falcon recently named Michigan, Oregon, Arkansas, Arizona State and Tennessee has his top five choices.
The junior running back had also received offers from Ohio State, UCLA, West Virgina, Nebraska and Purdue as well as a slew of other Division 1 schools.
Falcon, one of the fastest running backs in the class of 2016 will help carry the load in the backfield this fall for Southfield after battling injuries early on in his high school career.Tweet
