Get To Know: Sterling Heights Stevenson 2015 outfielder Greg McDade Jr.

 

A three sport athlete at Sterling Heights Stevenson, Greg McDade's best sport may be baseball. The 6-1 outfielder, who will be a senior this fall, helped lead the Titans to a 37-3-1 record in 2014, while batting .320, stealing 17 bases, and racked up 20 RBIs. McDade is one of the top players in his class for the state of Michigan, and is being sought out by a handful of colleges.

basketball."

3.Favorite television show: "SportsCenter, so I can keep up with all the sports news, and game scores."

4.Last movie you saw that you'd recommend: "Taken 2."

5. Favorite professional athlete: "Cam Newton. 
Been following him since before his Auburn days, and I love the way he plays."

6.Role model: "My father, because I know he works hard for everything he gets, and I have much respect for that."

7.What you want to do after college: "Not sure on my career path yet, but I just pray that I am succesful in whatever it may be."

8.Favorite MLB player: "Miguel Cabrera. He's a hometown guy, doing big things."

9.Best place to eat at near your home: "Phoenix Coney Island, because they have good deals and good food."

10.Other hobbies besides sports: "Play video games, and draw."

11.Favorite thing about living in Michigan: "We see all seasons, and all of my family is here."

12.Dream vacation: "Take a tour around Europe."

13.Best athletic achievement: "Playing in the semi-final game for baseball my sophomore year, even though we lost it, was a great experience."

14.Favorite class in high school: "History, because it's crazy to see the progress we've made as a whole."

15.Why you wear the number on your jersey: "I wear No.3, because when I was younger, my older cousin wore it, and I wanted to follow in his footsteps."
