Clarkston 2018 PG Foster Loyer commits to Michigan StateBasketball  |
With the boys basketball season ready to begin in just a couple of short weeks, one of the top 2018 players in the state of Michigan announced his college decision on Tuesday afternoon.
Clarkston point guard Foster Loyer announced that he will be staying in state and will be attending Michigan State after finishing up his high school career.
"Excited to announce that I am committing to Michigan State University" Loyer posted on his Twitter account.
Loyer is the second junior from the state of Michigan to commit to Michigan State, joining Macomb Dakota's Thomas Kithier, who committed to the Spartans back on August 4th.
Loyer also received offers from Purdue, St. Louis, Davidson, DePaul, Oakland and Toledo during the recruiting process before committing to the Spartans.
A 6-foot floor general, Loyer will be one of the key members of the Clarkston basketball team again this season, joined by shooting guard Dylan Alderson (committed to University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin) and Taylor Currie a 6-foot-9 forward who transferred to Clarkston from Ohio.
With Loyer, Alderson, Currie and several other key contributors from last year’s Clarkston team that fell in the regional final to Macomb Dakota, the Wolves figure to be one of the top contenders for the Class A state championship this winter.Tweet
