Birmingham Brother Rice senior football star Jack Dunaway, one of the best pass rushers out of the Catholic League, is going to Michigan this fall as a preferred walk-on. He spurned offers from other Division I programs to attend school in Ann Arbor and embark on the same path as his father, Craig Dunaway, a standout on the gridiron at Michigan in the early 1980s under the mentorship of iconic coach Bo Schembechler.
Brother Rice sophomore Carter Dunaway, a fast-rising tight end prospect, wants to keep in tune with the family tradition, too. The youngest Dunaway committed to new coach Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines on a visit to campus last Friday, becoming the program’s first recruit for its class of 2017.
