The Drive For Five - Five Players making noise on the recruiting trail in JuneFootball  |
With the month of June about to come to an end, here are five Michigan high school football players who have seen their recruiting stock rise this month:
Ovie Oghoufo – Farmington Hills Harrison LB – The fastest rising prospect from the state of Michigan. A hard-hitting instinctive linebacker, Oghoufo has picked up offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Boston College, Kentucky and Cincinnati in the month of June.
Theo Day – Dearborn Divine Child QB – Day, who played at Detroit Catholic Central last year, recently picked up offers from Central Michigan and Kentucky and visited Michigan State last week.
Jerodd Vines – St. Clair Shores South Lake WR – Vines was a jack-of-all-trades last season for South Lake, showing off his ability to be an explosive offensive player whether catching the ball or running it. Vines recently picked up his first offer from Toledo and more offers could be on the horizon for the soon-to-be junior receiver.
Jarius Grissom – River Rouge QB – After spending last season at Dearborn Heights Robichaud, Grissom became known as one of the most explosive players in the state. Now, entering his senior season, Grissom has been accumulating offers during the offseason and most recently, has picked up offers from Miami (OH) and Southern Illinois.
Patrick Lupro – Belleville DB – A strong showing at Sound Mind Sound Body earlier this month helped Lupro land a Cincinnati offer this week to go along with his other three offers. Lupro was also offered by Eastern Michigan at the beginning of June.Tweet
