East English Village's Dejulius lands Michigan offer after scoring 46 in win over DakotaBasketball  |
Saturday turned out to be a banner night for East English Village Prep point guard David Dejulius in more than one way. First the junior floor general poured in 46 points as he led the Bulldogs to a 16-point win over Macomb Dakota in a battle of two of the state’s top 10 teams.
Then Dejulius received his first major offer. Dejulius’ 46-point effort came in front of Michigan head coach John Beilein, and shortly after East English Village’s win over Dakota, Dejulius received an offer from the Maize and Blue.
The Michigan offer is the second in the recruiting process for Dejulius as his first offer came from DePaul.
A 6-1 point guard, Dejulius was rated as the No. 16 player in the State Champs! Preseason Rankings after transferring from Detroit Edison to East English Village after his sophomore season. Dejulius is one of the best pure scorers in the state of Michigan, able to get to the basket or knock down shots from the perimeter.
With East English Village having one of, if not the best backcourt in the state of Michigan with Dejulius playing alongside Greg Elliot, the Bulldogs have shown that they can score with anybody in the entire state and that they are one of the teams to beat in Class A this winter.Tweet
