The voting for the 2013 Warrior Sports High School Lacrosse Player of the Year Contest Race has ended, thank you for another great race supported by Warrior Sports!  We had nearly 40,000 votes - let's try to double that in 2014!!

Clarkston  | Junior, Attackman

If you look at the top of the power rankings, it's Clarkston that currently sits at number two. Connor Ward is the go to guy of a team looking to stay at the top.  Through the 1st ten games of the season Ward had 36 goals, 26 assists, 27 ground balls, 18 defensive take-aways, and 0 Penalties.  In Clarkston's recent 13-12 OT win over 4th ranked Cranbrook, Connor poured in 4 goals in the 1st half alone. As of 5/23/13: Connor has 56 goals, 37 assists and 40 GB's  

David Stafford

Mattawan  | Senior, Attackman/Midfielder

David Stafford, Senior Attackman, Mattawan.  A three-time all-Southwest Michigan Lacrosse Conference first-teamer and all-Region selection, Stafford was named conference player of the year in 2012, posting 64 goals and 38 assists for 102 points.  With a strong ability to score left or right handed and through double teams, Stafford is expected to be relentless again leading Mattawan in 2013 before joining Division 1 St. Johns next year. Season ending stats: David had 64 Goals, 47 Assists, 111 - total points, 113 Ground balls and 27 Take Aways. He has broken his School's in game record at 17 points, which also broke the SMLC conference in game scoring record.

Birmingham Brother Rice  | Senior, Attackman

One of the top set up players in the state, Forester should get his share of goals and assists this year for a Rice squad that has graduated some top players. Forester had 19 goals and four assists last season but will see more playing time in his senior year before heading to Richmond in Division 1 next year. Stats to date 5/13/13:  44 goals, 15 assists, 19 ground balls

Birmingham Brother Rice  | Senior, Midfield

Reigning Vorce Award winner as the state's top player, scored 60 goals with 13 assists last year and is one of the most physically dominating athletes the state has seen.  An All-American and first team all-state selection, Perkovic has an extremely hard shot and should be a force again for Rice this year as well as for Notre Dame next year. Stats as of 5/13:  40 goals, 29 assists, 11 ground balls
