Slinging The Pigskin Down South - Muskegon Football Star Selects UCFFootball  |
The Florida sun awaits one mighty versatile Westside wiz in the pocket.
Muskegon junior quarterback LaDarius Jefferson committed to the University of Central Floridaover the weekend. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound dual-threat signal caller split time under center last season with Virginia Tech early-enrollee Kalil Pimpleton on a 2016 Big Reds squad that advanced into the Division 3 state championship game. For this upcoming campaign, the job is all his and expect him to pile up the stats at a prodigious rate.
Jefferson chose UCF from a list of scholarship offers that also included Air Force, Navy, Tulane, Western Michigan, Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State and Toledo. UCF is coached by former Heisman Trophy-finalist Scott Frost (Nebraska), who got to Knights Country last winter from a stint as the offensive-coordinator at high-powered Oregon and went 6-7 in his first year on the sidelines. The Knights compete out of the American Athletic Conference.Tweet
